German steel shell case used as candle holder for the 3.7cm FLAK 36/37 anti aircraft gun recovered from a field near Trun in the Falaise pocket in Normandy 1944
This is a German steel shell case for the 3.7cm FLAK 36/37 anti aircraft gun with none original markings on the base can be seen but the brass primer is there which has all its markings very clear to see with the date 1940. The case has been turned in to a candle holder and is in nice solid condition for a steel case battlefield recovered with a few rust holes and some damage by the hole made for the candle it is not braking up or falling apart it has been very nicely cleaned perfect to display or any collection. This shell was used by German 3.7cm FLAK 36/37 anti aircraft gun this case was recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle, Falaise Pocket in France 1944. A nice relic from the Normandy battlefield. The case comes with A5 laminated information card.
