This is a unusual pair of small barbed wire cutters These wire cutters are relic and do not work. They have rusted solid but are in a very nice and solid condition with rust and pitting. They have been nicely cleaned and are perfect for display or any collection. Overall a nice example of this unusual design German barbed wire cutters, which are only 10 inches long.
The cutters were recovered in September 2018 from the area that was Guillemont Station on the July-August 1916 battlefield on the famous Somme battlefield of 1916.
