German soldiers M16 helmet not complete blown apart possibly done when the mine exploded recovered in 2014 from the field opposite Lochnagar mine crater on Somme battlefield 1916
This is a German soldiers battle damaged and blown apart M16 helmet not complete blown apart possibly done when the mine exploded. The helmet which is in 2 parts it is in relic condition also with some battle damage impact cracks and dents. The helmet is rust with some small rust holes and damage. It is a solid piece which is not breaking up or falling apart. The helmet does not have any of its leather liner also with some paintwork remains mostly inside but it has been very nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection.The helmet was recovered in 2014 from the field opposite Lochnagar mine crater. This field was a German frontline trench on the morning of the 1st July 1916 which was the British attack on Somme battlefield.The helmet comes with A5 laminated information card with map.
