This is a rare find from the battlefield a German soldiers Leuchtpistole 42 flare pistol battlefield recovered which is near complete but does have damage from being buried and is de activated by condition. The pistol has rusted solid and does not open the metal work is still solid but pitted and is in relic condition but still retaining some of its original colour on the bakerite handles. The metal is lightly rusty but overall remains in very good condition and is perfect for display or inclusion in any collection. It has been carefully cleaned. The pistol was recovered from the Defence positions used by the 20th Panzergrenadier Division which are North-East of Potsdam the German defence line for the battle of Berlin in April 1945 the fighting in last days of the Reich and defence of the capital against the Russians. The item comes with 2 x A5 laminated information cards with photographs.
