French issue L702 gas mask tin civil defence use from a private collection near Dunkirk possibly used in the Dunkirk pocket of 1940.

This is a French issue L702 gas mask tin not relic.This gas mask tin in lovely condition for a semi relic it is pretty much undamaged other then a few dents and knocks from use.The tin has all of its original blue paintwork remaining on the outside and on the inside it has all of it’s original colour and is maker marked on the lid.

The tin which the lid still opens and closes the tin is very solid it has been nicelycleaned, and is perfect for display or any collection. The tin comes from a private collection near Dunkirk possibly used in the battle of 1940. The tin comes with A5 laminated information card.

The Battle of Dunkirk and evacuation from the 27 May 1940 to the 30 May 1940. The British forces had prepared a defence pocket around the town spreading out miles in all directions.
