French issue TP-38 complete civilian gas mask in its tin which is in lovely condition from a private collection near Dunkirk possibly used in the Dunkirk pocket of 1940

This is a French issue complete TP-38 gas mask stuck in its tin which does not come right out but is complete..This gas mask and the tin are in lovely condition for a semi relic item they are both pretty much undamaged other then a few dents and knocks from use. On the tin which has all of its original green paintwork remaining on the outside and on the inside it has all of it’s original colour and is maker marked on the lid.The mask has all its original colours and is solid not braking up or falling apart..

The tin which the lid still opens and closes the tin is very solid it has been nicely cleaned, and is perfect for display or any collection. The mask and tin comes from a private collection near Dunkirk possibly used in the battle of 1940. The tin comes with A5 laminated information card.

The Battle of Dunkirk and evacuation from the 27 May 1940 to the 30 May 1940. The British forces had prepared a defence pocket around the town spreading out miles in all directions.
