This is a rare find relic from the London Blitz it is a rare pre war 4 fin tail fin from a 2kg B-2 incendiary bomb.The German B-2 incendiary bomb (also known as the B2EZ or similar variants like the B1E) was a 1–2 kg aerial bomb used by the Luftwaffe for massive firebombing campaigns. Utilizing a thermite-filled magnesium casing, they were highly effective, intended for dropping in clusters via canisters to incinerate urban areas.
The tail fin is nearly complete with all fins but has ripped apart on impact but is pretty much all still there. It was blown off in the explosion after being dropped it is empty and inert, deactivated by condition it is solid and in relic condition, retaining some of its original paint inside but nothing outside. The metal is pitted and rusty but with only a few small rust holes and overall remains in very good condition for display or inclusion in any collection. It has been carefully cleaned and is perfect for display and a rare one one for any collection.

The fin was recovered during building work in the late 1980’s and was originally dropped by the Luftwaffe during the Blitz of London in 1940-1941.The fin comes with 2 A5 laminated information cards with pictures and diagram.
