German powder chest/propellant charge crate,last pack date 1944 ,nice condition relic,recovered from Jersey on the Channel Islands in the 1990s

This is a German powder chest/propellant charge crate which is missing its lid but does have paper label remains one with a last pack date 1944. The crate is in very nice condition, with the wood still retaining most of its original black stain with its white stamped markings clear to see, though it shows some dirt, discoloration, and damage on the top edge. The crate is very solid, not breaking up or falling apart and has no woodworm it is a well preserved box it is 24 inches long by 17 inches wide in size. It is maker marked on both sides.. On the inside there are some knocks and marks from use, but nothing significant. This is a fine example which is perfect for display or any collection. The crate originated from Jersey in the Channel Islands and dates back to leftovers from the German occupation between 1940 and 1945, being recovered from Jersey in the 1990s.

The crate comes with 2 laminated A5 information cards featuring photographs with diagrams.
