German MG34 machine gun firing bolt, relic condition recovered from near village of Trun in Falaise Pocket, Normandy 1944
This is a German MG 34 machine gun firing bolt, largely complete and in solid relic condition. The bolt shows some rust and deeper pitting in places, but remains very solid and has been carefully cleaned. An unusual battlefield relic, it is perfect for display or any collection.
The bolt was recovered from a field near Trun, believed to be a pit dug by the Allies where large amounts of German equipment were discarded and buried following the Battle of the Falaise Pocket, Normandy, France, in 1944. A rare and interesting relic from the famous Normandy battlefield.
