This is a German MG 42 machine gun barrel which is complete and straight as shown on the diagram on the 2nd card.

The part is deactivated by condition obviously plain to see also completely blocked up inside. The machine gun part is in nice condition for a relic it is rusty but not to much heavy thick rust and a bit pitted but it has been very nicely cleaned and is in very solid condition perfect for collection and perfect for display and is 22 inches long. The barrel was recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle in the Falaise Pocket, Normandy in France 1944. A nice, rare relic from the famous Normandy battlefield and it comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards with pictures and diagram.
