German Messerschmitt ME110 work number 2072 of 2/NJG 5th October 1942 which was intercepting British RAF bombers on a raid over the City of Aachen on 5th October 1942 it run out of fuel and crashed
This is a rare electrical part with maker markings clear to see from the Lichtenstein radar unit on the front of German Messerschmitt ME110. The part is Bakelite made with aluminium bracket with some damage from the impact of the crash but nothing to bad it has lots of original colour and is in nice solid condition it has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection the part is 9 inches long in size. The part comes from German Messerschmitt ME110 work number 2072 of 2/NJG 4 which took off from Florennes in Belgium on the evening of 5th October 1942.The plane was on intercept mission on British RAF bombers who were on a raid over the City of Aachen the aircraft eventually ran out of fuel and crash landed at Attigny in the Ardennes Forest Belgium. The pilot was Unteroffizier Suhre he jumped clear of the plane but was wounded. The part comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards
