This is a very desirable and unusual recovered which is a German M40 steel helmet, retaining rare and clearly visible remnants of its Luftwaffe eagle with a little bit of its original blue paintwork remains partly clearly visible.

The helmet has been carefully cleaned and presents very well. It is missing its liner but still has a complete liner ring and chin strap holders and remains an exceptional display piece due to the strong combination of paint and decal remnants—rare to find on a battlefield example in this condition with such a clear Luftwaffe decal.

The helmet remains in solid relic condition, with expected rusting throughout, heavier corrosion and some dirt still attached even after cleaning but it has no rust holes and only light amount of damage. Despite this, it is structurally stable and not breaking apart.The helmet comes with 2 x A5 laminated information cards, including a map for context.
