This is a lovely condition German Luftschutz civil defence steel helmet which is in semi-relic condition at worst with maker marking inside the rim.The helmet is not relic still fairly smooth to the touch, and has only some light surface rust all over but no rust holes or damage. It is a lovely and solid helmet retaining most of its original colours but is missing its leather liner but does have a white maker stamp inside It has been cleaned well and is not breaking up or falling apart. The helmet has a lot of its original black paintwork but with no decals but a lovely helmet which is perfect for display or any collection and would even make a good restoration project.
The Helmet was found on a flea market near the Berlin railway station in 2022 properly used in city during the war as part of the home defence. The helmet comes with A5 laminated information card.
