The container has been well cleaned and is in good solid condition with some original grey / blue paint remaining plus some original stencil markings
The lid locking mechanism works fine .
container approximatly one metre in length.
The 8.8cm SK C/30 was used as a deck gun on early war U-boats, mounted forward of the conning tower. It was used to encourage the surrender of independently routed merchant ships or to sink ships damaged by torpedoes.
