This is a German soldiers Kriegsmarine (Navy) Administration Tropical Pith Helmet Eagle which was recovered in 2023 during building works on the site of an old German factory in Berlin.
The badge is complete but is damaged; ripped and bent. It still has some dirt and muck despite being cleaned. On the back of the badge it is complete with all the pins still in place. It is a nice battlefield find perfect for display or any collection.
This badge was recovered in 2023 during building works on the site of an old German factory in Berlin which belonged to one of the main manufacturers Landers who were part of the cooperative that made Army uniform for the Afrikakorps from 1940 until 1943.These badges were never issued to soldiers as they were made but never used properly because of the German Afrikakorps surrender in Tunisia in 1943.The badge comes with A5 laminated information card.
