This is a fantastic condition brass and steel made German HZ 14 Percussion 57.5 mm fuse-detonator, without delay on high explosive or gas shells fired by artillery guns from 9cm caliber up to 12cm caliber. The fuse has been fired does have some small amount of damage from being fired it has ripped clean of the shell during the impact.The shell fuse is in very nice condition still with all of its original maker markings, numbers and dated 1915 fairly clear to see but very rare with all the brass outer case the fuse is its dirty brass colour but still lovely condition and has been very well cleaned it is perfect for display or any collection. This fuse was recovered on the Ypres Battlefield in Belgium of 1914-1918.
