German G43 semi-automatic rifle magazine, most likely from a soldier of the 2nd SS Panzer Division “Das Reich”, as was recovered from a roadside ditch to the Northeast of Houffalize where they conducted a fighting withdrawal from the village between the 3 January & 16 January 1945 during the Battle of the Bulge.
A rare item to find due to the this steel construction - normally not much left of them!
Magazine is in rusty relic condition with a hole in the side, spring is seized and plate does not move within the body.
