This is a German soldiers late war army issue red painted water bottle which still has some of its original red paintwork remains still on it with no screw top in place .The bottle has some rust holes with a large one on one side and has surface rust all over but it is still very solid and nice condition for a bottle which has been lost in the heat of battle. The bottle has been well cleaned perfect for display or any collection. The water bottle was recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle in the Falaise Pocket, Normandy in France 1944. A nice rare relic from the famous Normandy battlefield and it comes with 2 x A5 laminated information cards with pictures and map.
