German ammunition box for the 7.5cm Geb.K15 mountain gun that held 6 complete Sprgr. Geb.G.15 Al. (high explosive) rounds with cartridge cases & kart. vorl. (flash reducing bags)

recovered from the area of the Gustav line defences around Monte Cassino in Italy and kept in a local museum until it closed in 2015.

The box is in super condition with good remains of paper labels to the outside and fantastic stencilled markings. The inner racks were stripped out at some point in time to use for storage.

The Geb.K15 was a WW1 gun used still by Germany in WW2 and by the Italians who designated them as the Obice da 75/13. Guns taken from them after their surrender in 1943 were named 7.5 cm GebK 259(i).
