





























German 8cm Mortar base very relic condition with lots of rust damage but a rare find recovered from the Kursk battlefield of 1943 in Russia.
This is a German 8cm mortar base, nearly complete, showing significant rust and some holes. Despite the corrosion, the base is solid, not breaking or falling apart, and has been very well cleaned. It is ideal for display or any collection and is a rare battlefield-recovered item.
The base plate was recovered near the village of Plota, south of Prokhorovka, the site of the main tank battle on 12th July 1943, during the largest tank battle of the war and the last major German offensive on the Eastern Front in Russia.
The item comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards.
