German 88mm steel shell case primer used by 88mm Flak 36/37/41 anti aircraft and anti tank gun recovered from near the Elsenborn Ridge, Ardennes 1944
This is a steel shell case primer used by the famous 88mm Flak 36/37/41 anti aircraft and anti tank gun.
It is steel made not brass so late war manufacture but no markings can be seen. The primer still has its original steel colour with no real damage. It has been very well cleaned and retains some of its original colour and is perfect for display or any collection. The inert and empty primer is in nice condition for a battlefield recovery.
The primer was recovered from the woods near the Elsenborn Ridge in the Ardennes Forest from the scene of the battle of the bulge in the winter of 1944-1945 a very nice and rare relic from this famous battle and Hitler's last big offensive of the war.
