This is a nice battledamaged shell case from the very famous German 88mm gun a steel shell case used by 8.8cm Flak 36/37/41 anti-aircraft and anti-tank gun.

The shell case is steel made is bent and twisted around the neck with impact holes it looks like it has been in an explosion it is in relic but solid condition unusual to find with this much battle damage. On the bottom non of its maker markings that can be seen it has been very well cleaned it is perfect to display or any collection and it is empty and inert. This is a very unusual relic recovered from the battlefield. The shell case was recovered near the town of Kalach, in an area captured by the 14th Panzer Division during the Battle of Stalingrad in July-August 1942. The case comes with 2 x A5 laminated information cards with map.
