Pair of lovely condition German 20mm steel cannon shell cases fired by Flak gun,maker marked-1944 recovered from a lake near Bastogne in the Ardennes Forest from the Battle of the Bulge, 1944-45

This is a lovely relic condition pair of fired by 20mm steel cannon shell cases fired by German 20mm flak 30/38 anti-aircraft gun the most famous of the German anti-aircraft guns.. The cases are steel made and are in nice relic but solid condition. They have some of there markings including eagle and dated 1944 on the bottom that can be seen. The shell cases have lots of original shiny colours and brass wash colour that can be seen very clearly. They are only lightly rusty with a couple of small rust holes and dents and bit of damage to neck but they still very nice overall and are not breaking up or falling apart. They have been very well cleaned and are perfect to display or a nice one for any collection.

The cases were recovered from a lake East of Bastogne in the Ardennes Forest from the Battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944-45. The cases come with A5 laminated information card.

The shell cases was recovered from a lake which was used as a dump site for battlefield clearance the area where the lake is, was attacked by the German 26th Volksgrenadier Division and elements of the Panzer Lehr Division they had most of the troops in the area
