This is a nice condition French officers leather gaiter which is near complete. The gaiter still has its black colour the leather is still solid not braking up or falling apart it has been nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. The gaiter was recovered from old French dug out where the British and French front lines meet in the area at Maricourt on the June-July 1916 Somme battlefield. The gaiter comes with 2x A5 laminated information card.
