This is a nice condition quill handle French M1886 pattern bayonet which has its nice brass handle which has turned green. The bayonet blade is snapped but broken but the handle is complete. It is a very nice relic in solid condition, which has been nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. The bayonet was recovered from where the British and French front lines meet in the area at Maricourt on the June-July 1916 Somme battlefield. The bayonet comes with A5 laminated information card.
