This is a nice condition French infantry soldiers M15 Adrian helmet that is missing its badge and liner but is in nice relic condition as it was recovered many years ago. The helmet is very solid relic, and has only light surface rust but does have some rust holes in the top but major damage it does have a few dents and knocks from use. It is a lovely and solid helmet retaining some of its original colour and blue paintwork on the outside but inside looks like possibly been overpainted but even that looks old. It has been cleaned well and is not breaking up or falling apart and is perfect for display or any collection. The helmet was found many years ago around the Fort Douaumont area on the June-October 1916 battlefield of Verdun. The helmet comes with 2 x A5 laminated information cards with may pictures and a map.
