This is a very rare to find Flare case holding rack which carried flare cases from inside a Notsignalbehälter emergency survival kit carried onboard from the cockpit area.The part still with some of its original black paintwork. but is rusty and looks burnt in the fire when the aircraft crashed and has been damaged by the impact of the crash.The part is in nice solid condition it has been very nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection the part is 7 inches long and 4 inches wide. The part which is very hard to find from a world war 2 German aircraft survival kit this one is from German JU87 stuka dive bomber work number 4528 of 2./I./StG1 which crashed at Skamdalen, Beisfjord Nordland near Narvik. The dive bomber was shot down by RAF Gladiator on the 2nd June 1940 during the German invasion of Norway.

The part comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards with crash site pictures of what it looks like now and pictures of the survival kit. The parts have come from a private collection which the items were collected many years ago directly from the crash sites he visited and found including surface finds or some aircraft that were dug out and recovered all these parts now available for the first time.

The dive bomber was attacked and shot down by RAF Gladiators from 263 Squadron. After a bombing raid on Narvik. The Stuka, with its port under wing tank on fire, crashed soon after in a valley at Beisfjord. RAF pilots Alvin Williams(N5905) and Herbert H Kitchener shared this victory. The bodies of Staffelkapitän Böhne and his gunner were recovered later by the Germans.
