This is a Fantastic Oil -Pressure regulating/bypass valve housing from inside BMW 801 engine accessory system with its large engine valve still place.

The part is damaged from the impact of the crash with some large dents and impact damage it has ripped of the aircraft during the crash. The part has all of its original colours and very clear to see maker markings which includes casting numbers also batch number and subcontractor number it has been very well cleaned it is in fantastic condition for a recovered part and is a very nicely cleaned relic which has actually come up very well and is perfect for display or any collection and a rare one for the collection. The part comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards with pictures.

The part comes from German Focke Wulf 190 work number 0152697-SJ+FT of 2/SKG10 which crashed on Henhurst Farm in Staplehurst near Maidstone in Kent on the 16th April 1943. The pilot Oberleutnant Hans Klahn the staffelkapitan he was killed in the crash.

This Fw 190 was part of the first wave of German aircraft tasked with attacking London at night. The flight was heavily disoriented over southern England. Three other Fw 190s from the same unit mistakenly landed at RAF West Malling, but Oberleutnant Klahn's aircraft did not He attempted to bail out at a low altitude, but unfortunately did not survive. The aircraft struck the ground at high speed (at an angle of 20 degrees) and was completely destroyed, with wreckage scattered across the fields. Oberleutnant Klahn's remains are buried today at the Cannock Chase German Military Cemetery in Staffordshire.
