The projectile retains its original manufacturer's stamp on the base and still has its full brass driving band in place, which has an attractive original finish. The body of the projectile is only very lightly pitted, with some minor discolouration, but retains most of its original finish and is free from holes or significant damage. The projectile fits the shell case perfectly, just as intended.

The original two-piece brass shell case retains a bright finish and all of its original headstamp markings, including a 1936 date and Waffenamt acceptance stamp. To comply with French legislation, the case has a small deactivation cut to one side.

Both the projectile and shell case are completely empty and inert. They have been carefully cleaned and are in excellent display condition, making this a superb addition to any ordnance or Second World War collection.

The shell was recovered in France and was used during the German invasion of 1940 or the subsequent occupation. It is supplied complete with an A5 laminated information card.
