This is a group of engine parts which are a section of broken drive shaft cogg also bakerite plug which is a ZAT maker marked plug and a valve ring which is the outer holding ring of an engine valve which has been cut when removed from an engine. The group of parts all still retain some of their original colours they have been cleaned but do still have some dirt and muck attached all the sections have some damage from the impact of the crash and are perfect for display or any collection the parts are 1 half-2 half inches long in size. The parts are from German Messerschmitt 110 from stab 2/Zerstorergeschwader 26 work number 3309, coded U8 + DK shot down on the 2nd of September 1940 over Kent by RAF Fighters during the Battle of Britain.The parts come with 3x A5 laminated information card with pictures and one is a copy of the original intelligence report done in 1940 and held at Kew in London.

The Messerschmitt was on a combat mission during the battle of Britain over Kent when it was attacked and shot down it crashed into White horse Woods near to Birling in Maidstone Kent. Crewmen Feldwebel Schuetz was killed and Gefreiter Steuwe bailed out and was captured wounded. The Messerschmitt 110 was shot down by Sergeant Bill Rolls of 72 Squadron flying out of RAF Biggin Hill he survived the war and won the DFC,DFM,AE he died in July 1988.
