This is a nice and very rare shell case 8.8cm,KwK36 with electric primer only used and fired by the very famous German tiger tank. These cases are some much harder to find then the standard 88mm case fire by the anti-tank gun. This case has been cut down and is base only and the primer has been removed to put in a metal wire so it could be hung for display in the museum. We know it was tiger case because there was the display label with it.
The shell case is steel made case and is in relic but solid condition and a lovely solid case which is not braking up or falling apart. On the bottom non of its maker markings that can be seen it has been very well cleaned it is perfect to display or any collection and it is empty and inert. The shell case was recovered from Monte Cassino the Italian battlefield of 1944. The case was recovered many years ago and had been in a local museum since which closed down in 2015.The case comes with A5 laminated information card with pictures.
