This is a glass-framed group of 2 large aluminium airframe sections that still retain some of there original paintwork and colours. The parts have ripped,bent and smashed by the impact of the crash but are in nice solid condition and have been carefully cleaned. They are presented in a glass-fronted box frame, complete with all aircraft information and numerous photographs including a picture of the crash site, making it perfect for display or any collection. The frame measures 13 inches by 13 inches in size.The parts come from German Heinkel He 111 work number 2720 of 10/KG1 it was on a bombing raid on Farnborough. The bomber was intercepted and rammed over Reigate by RAF Hurricane of Number 79 squadron was flown by pilot officer E.J. Morris. The bomber crashed and exploded at Swires Farm at Capel in Surrey at 11.12 am on 30th August 1940 in the battle of Britain.
The crew were Oberfeldwebel W.Horing and Oberfeldwebel G.Stahlberg also Gefreiter doctor K.Heimel were all killed Hauptmann R.Bass staffelkapitan bailed out and captured badly hurt and Oberleutnant P.Frohlisch captured unhurt. The site was visited twice by investigators in 1976 and again in 1979.
