This is an original chassis-mounted suspension travel stop (bump stop) from a German Sd.Kfz. 251 half-track. The rubber stop retains its original German manufacturer's foundry marking, making it an interesting and easily identifiable component from one of the Wehrmacht's most widely used armoured vehicles.
The relic is in solid condition and remains complete. It retains traces of its original red oxide primer, together with visible remains of the original factory welds. The component has been carefully cleaned and preserved while maintaining its authentic wartime appearance. It also displays a battle-damage split in the neck of the mounting section, adding to its history and character as a genuine battlefield relic.
The part measures approximately 9 inches long by 5 inches wide and makes an excellent display piece for any military or Second World War collection.

The area was the scene of some of the fiercest fighting during the summer of 1943 and formed part of the largest tank battle of the Second World War, marking the last major German offensive on the Eastern Front.
