This is a large glass-framed very rare Crewman’s uniform jacket section also remains of black leather waist belt, part of a leather map case, a section of navigators paper map and a section of silk parachute all recovered from the cockpit of the night fighter. The parts have partly discolored and stained from being buried but are still in very solid condition not braking up or falling apart they have been carefully cleaned and bit damaged and ripped apart by the impact of the crash.They are presented in a large glass-fronted frame, complete with background information and numerous photographs and pictures , making it perfect for display. The frame measures 18 inches by 18 inches in size.The parts are from the cockpit of German Junkers JU88 bomber work number 0345.This was a night fighter of 4/NJG2 which was on a night intruder sortie over East Anglia, England on the 17th April 1941 and the night fighter crashed and exploded near Peterborough.

The crash remains a mystery as there are British fighter claims of a ju88 for that night and its was not shot down by Anti-aircraft fire. The plane crashed late in the night at Hurns Farm, Gedney Hill near Peterborough.
