This is a rare British Tank main gun 6 pounder brass shell case which is a naval case which is correct as the early tanks had naval guns. The shell case is in very nice condition but with no discolour and no damage the case still retains its brass colour lovely and clean and completely empty and inert. The case is complete on the bottom with all of its original markings including the naval anchor all very clear to see the case is from a private collection on the Somme. A very nice and not easy to find British tank relic from the famous Somme battlefield of 1916-1918 and comes with a A5 laminated information card.
