This a very rare find a British Parachute silk large fragment from the famous battlefield of Arnhem in 1944.The silk section is in nice condition for relic the silk and many string lines attached as well makes a solid part not braking up or falling apart it still retains some of its original colour but it is very dirty and stained from being buried and is a large size at 20 inches long by 14 inches wide . It has been very nicely cleaned and in nice solid condition perfect for a collection or any display.The silk section was recovered in 1990’s from the site of parachute and supply drops in landing zone X' near Wolfheze woods, west-northwest of Arnhem on the 17th September 1944.The soldiers and supplies that landed there were part of the 1st Parachute Brigade fighting during Operation Market Garden in the Netherlands.The silk comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards with map
