This is a British fuel can or better-known jerry can which has the famous broad arrow and dated 1943 and with a bullet or shrapnel hole in one side and the back it goes clean though its looks more bullet hole then anything else. The can which is in semi relic condition lightly rusty all over but with a few rust holes that can be seen and some larger dents as well.The top still opens and closes and but is very hard to lock it has a bit of original green paintwork remains with all maker markings and maker stamp in the middle of which all can be seen nice and clear it has been very well cleaned it is very solid not braking up or falling apart a nice example of this can battlefield recovered.This can was found on a Farm in the Village of Clecy near Falaise in Normandy from the battles around the Falaise Pocket in August 1944.The can comes with a A5 laminated information card.
