British artillery 25 pounder brass shell case with trench art design and dated 1943 found on a flea market in Cario used in North Africa 1940-1943
This is a British artillery 25 pounder brass shell case which has trench art design scratched into the side of the case. The shell case is dated 1943 and the primer has all its maker markings and is dated May 1943 it has been very well cleaned but with a tiny bit of discolour but has not been buried it is in as used condition from the desert and is perfect to display. The case is complete it is very solid it still retains all of its original shiny brass colour but it has its original stamps and maker markings on the bottom of it which are very clear to read and complete with its primer, the case is undamaged lovely example. The shell case was found on a flea market in Cario in the early 2000’s by the Egyptian-Sahara.com expeditions and tours company. The shell carry tube would have been used by the Allied army in the fighting during the North African desert campaign of 1940-1943. The relic comes with 2 x A5 laminated information cards with pictures including of the original flyer for the Egyptian-Sahara.com expeditions and tours company with pictures of some of the items this relic was purchased directly from them when they were operating in around 2007-2012.
