British 6‑pdr (57mm) anti‑tank gun brass cartridge case, dated 1942. The stencilling on the base indicates that it was originally loaded with an armour‑piercing (AP) projectile.
Presented in very good condition, with no dents and retaining clear period markings. There is one very fine hairline crack to the base, visible in the accompanying photographs.
