This is a German steel shell case fired by 88mm flak 36/37/41 anti aircraft gun which has major battledamage which has ripped and bent up in an explosion. The case has none original markings on the base can be seen. The case is in nice solid condition for a steel case battlefield recovered with some rust holes it is not braking up or falling apart it has been very nicely cleaned perfect to display or any collection. This shell case was recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle, Falaise Pocket in France 1944. A nice relic from the Normandy battlefield. The case comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards with map.
