This is a American vehicle first aid tin which is not relic condition but much better then that but is empty with no contents..The carry case with only light surface rust in places and retaining much of its original green paintwork both inside and out. The hinge works, allowing the lid to open and close and it doe lock properly and the carry handle is still present it has been nicely cleaned with so much original colour and maker marking on the lid making ideal for display or any collection and is 9 inches by 9 inches in size. This tin could also be used for re enacting it is that good a condition.The tin which was found in the village of Bras. Which on the 13th January 1945 the Americans were fighting against the German 26th Volksgrenadier Division these were the last German soldiers occupying the village of Bras near Bastogne at the end of the Battle of the Bulge 1944-1945.The comes with 2 x A5 laminated information cards with pictures including the contents inside the tin.
On January 14th 1945 in the village of Bras a historic meeting took place when the American forces linked up with the British forces and drove the Germans back into Germany. The Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders from Scotland meet up with soldiers from the U.S. 87th Infantry Division in Bras on that day effectively closing the bulge.
