This is a very rare and hard to find pair of parts which are airframe structure section and mag allow engine case remains.The parts which are a aluminium airframe section that still retains a lot of green and brown camouflage paintwork remains very clear to see and a section mag allow engine case part still with some of its original paintwork clear to see.Both parts are 4-6 inches long both have damaged which are ripped and bent up but the impact of the crash. They are in nice solid condition with some original colours which were perfect for display or any serious WWII aviation collection. The parts are from RAF Dambuster Lancaster bomber code name O for Orange on the raid, number ED886 shot down 10th December 1943 on arms drop to the resistance for the S O E over France and comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards with pictures.

RAF Dambuster Lancaster bomber number ED886 shot down 10th December 1943 over France. The plane took part in the Dambuster raid code name O for Orange it dropped its mine on the Ennepe Dam but it failed to destroy it the aircraft returned safely. The pilot was flight sergeant William Clifford Townsend.

The Lancaster ED886 was on arms drop to the resistance for the S O E over France when it was shot down and crashed near Terramesnil which is near Doullens on the Somme in France.
