This is a rare part from a German Battle of Britain bomber which is a airflow control shutter (FL.204959) engine cooling air regulator used to regulate airflow through one of the Jumo engines.The part has clear see FL number on the side of it.
This part which is steel made and looks a pretty much complete part even with some original blue paintwork clear to see it has some damage from the crash but nothing to bad.The part is rusty in places but nothing to bad it has some original colours it has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection the size of the part is 7 inches long and 7 inches wide.The part Junkers Ju88A-4 bomber work number 293 which was on a raid over London, shot down at 3.30pm on the 27th September 1940 during battle of Britain.
The Ju88 bomber was hit by anti-aircraft fire during a bombing sortie over London and its starboard engine was damaged. The plane then caught fire under attack by RAF fighters, and the crew abandoned the plane over Kent. The Ju88 was probably that claimed by Sergeant H.J Davidson of 249 squadron the plane crashed in flames and burned out at Vexour Farm in Penshurst near Tonbridge in Kent.

Oberleutnant K.H Lutze missing believed killed also Unteroffizier E.Brodbeck,Feldwabel A.Zeller both bailed out and were captured wounded and Feldwabel H.Adler was killed.
