Glass-framed very rare airframe fabric section from a Horsa glider, recovered in 1990’s from the site of where British Horsa Gliders landed on zone Z' near Wolfheze woods in Arnhem 1944
This is a glass-framed very rare airframe fabric section still with its original gray colour clear to see.The section is in very solid condition and has been carefully cleaned ripped of by the impact of the crash . It is presented in a glass-fronted frame, complete with background information and numerous photographs including the drop zone it was found , making it perfect for display. The frame measures 12 inches by 9 inches in size.The part is from a Horsa glider that was recovered in 1990’s from the site of where British Horsa Gliders landed on landing zone Z' near Wolfheze woods, west-northwest of Arnhem on the 17th September 1944.
The gliders that landed were all part of the 1st Parachute Brigade that were fighting during Operation Market Garden in the Netherlands.
