£145.00
Only 1 available

A superb matching set of three antique Imperial German military prints depicting soldiers of the German Army during the late 19th century. The illustrations are by the well-known military artist G. Arnold and bear the printed "Copyright 1893 by The Werner Company" imprint.

Each print portrays a different Imperial German regiment during training or field exercises, with exceptional attention to period uniforms, Pickelhaube helmets, artillery equipment and military drill.

The reverse of each frame retains an identification label naming the regiment depicted:

  • 21st Regiment of Field Artillery "von Clausewitz" (Upper Silesian) – Piece Drill.

  • 125th Regiment of Infantry (Württemberg).

  • 34th Regiment of Fusiliers (Pomeranian).

The prints are presented in attractive matching gilt-effect frames and display beautifully together, making them ideal for collectors of Imperial German militaria, military artwork or Victorian military history.

The illustrations bear the original 1893 Werner Company copyright and are believed to date from the late Victorian or early Edwardian period. As the prints have not been examined outside their frames, their exact printing date cannot be guaranteed.

Condition

Overall very good condition for their age.

The prints display well with only light age-related toning and minor marks consistent with age. The matching frames show light wear from handling and display, while the reverse backing papers exhibit expected age-related wear. Please study all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
