These are three complete British soldiers dog tags, made from aluminium. They are in very nice, solid relic condition, with all markings fully readable and retaining most of their original colour. The tags show minor damage and slight discoloration from being buried, but nothing significant. They have been carefully cleaned and are perfect for display or any collection.
The tags were manufactured in 1945 for soldiers being prepared for deployment to the Far East against Japan. They were never issued, as the atomic bombings of Japan brought the war to an end before these soldiers were needed.
These dog tags were recovered from a 1945 British Army dump site near Enfield in North London, which served as a storage and supply area during the transition from the European war to the Pacific war. A very nice relic from the final months of World War II.
